Hello!

I'm Anastasia Mamoshina, аka Youkki

I am a Russian artist based in Valencia, Spain, urban sketcher, licensed yacht captain (skipper), illustrator of children's books, head of Urban Sketchers Saint Petersburg in 2017-2022, teacher of watercolour sketching courses at KalachevaSchool, organiser of author's art tours to Europe, ambassador of the sun, captain of watercolour tugs and tankers.

For 11 years now you can meet me with a sketchbook and watercolours on the Spanish Steps in Rome, on Montmartre in Paris, among old Bulgarian boats, on the canal embankment in Amsterdam and many other places. I've made hundreds of sketches in dozens of European cities.
My work has two favourite themes, urban and marine watercolour sketches. In 2022 a sketch of Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg was included in the book The World of Urban Sketching.

My preferred materials are ink, watercolour, pastels, markers, graphite. The style is a temperamental watercolour modern interpretation of reality.

I am a cheerful person with a sense of humour and a keen polyglot. I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese and am learning Latin.

I love creating contrasts, playing with empty space in a drawing and juxtaposing textures. Each sketch is a small challenge and a great inspiration.

Since 2018, I have been teaching urban watercolour sketching at Russia's largest online drawing school, KalachevaSchool, giving in-person masterclasses and recording online courses. I also illustrated 2 children's books, which were sold in the largest bookstores in Moscow and St Petersburg.

In 2017-2022, I headed the St Petersburg branch of the international non-profit organisation Urban Sketchers, which has offices in hundreds of major cities around the world. This is a community of urban artists, professionals and amateurs, united by a passion for street sketching. In 2019, under my leadership, the first Russian Festival of Urban Sketchers was held, with guests from 16 cities of Russia and 7 countries of the world.

I am a speaker at various art festivals and conferences, a participant in personal and collective exhibitions, an art blogger with more than

32 thousand followers from all over the world, organiser of original sketch tours to Europe (Lisbon in 2018 and Barcelona in 2019).

In 2017 my first personal exhibition took place at the Moscow Museum of Automobile History. In 2020 - the second personal exhibition at the St. Petersburg "Unified Document Center". I also took part in various collective exhibitions in art spaces, the Mining University, the St. Petersburg Opera, libraries and cafes in St. Petersburg.

My works are in private collections from Canada to Sri Lanka and South Africa.

I've been living in Valencia since 2024.
